Motilium is used to relieve nausea and vomiting caused by delayed stomach emptying. It is used in adults to treat nausea, vomiting, heaviness or swelling in the stomach, discomfort in the stomach or when the contents of the stomach pass up into the esophagus, and in cases of skin rash and heartburn.
Motilium tablets work by blocking certain chemicals in the vomiting center in the brain and act on the upper digestive system to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines. This allows the stomach to empty faster and helps prevent nausea and vomiting.
