Nebiol treats bacterial infections and infections of the eye and outer ear. It is a complex drug that contains two antibiotics: Polymyxin B, which is an antibiotic that modifies the permeability of the bacterial cell membrane, making it easier to penetrate and release its contents, leading to its death.
Nebiol kills Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria by preventing the synthesis of necessary bacterial proteins. These drugs usually contain an anti-inflammatory steroid drug, such as hydrocortisone or prednisone, to reduce inflammation.
